Logan and Cache County Area Scanner Frequencies
Always in progress Logan City/Cache County Services |
Cache County and Logan City operate a well integrated
communications system. Several changes happened in the Fall of 2006 including
removal of a building and re-siting of equipment, and in 2008 is considering
joining the UCAN 800 MHz system. Currently, virtually all of the communications for
public services take place on VHF - which works well in the closed area that
is Cache Valley. Little RF escapes the Valley, and little gets in from
beyond.
Plans are afoot for 700 MHz, and narrow bandwidth new frequencies, but in the meanwhile the old tried and true VHF frequencies are well used. Here are FD/PD/EMS: |

Just fyi, here's the lineup in my shack, etc:
The big one BC780xlt Trunktracker III - I love Andy's program!
|
BC245 Trunk Tracker II |
Radio Shack PRO 60 |
BC760xlt - my wife's from a prior guy in her life...we listen together! | It's a Model 2005 - only sold for a short while - in service since 1986. Snip! :-) | BC 250 - 25 years old - 50 channels - in the closet right now |
My 4 bander IC-T81A ham rig has VHF and UHF wideband scan also |
Current scanners in the shack/office/home/car above - many others over a 30 year time period. First was a Radio Shack Pro 7 - with 8 crystals. First programmable was a Tennelec TCP-1 - 16 channels and 16 binary codes entered per frequency - had to look them up is a big book. |
Here's the link to the FCC licenses - you can look 'em up yourself!
Any other ideas?
